Police say Williams was murdered on August 16, 2011, in Havendale, St. Andrew, according to go-jamaica.com. Arrangements are being made for Kartel, real name Adidjah Palmer, to be brought before courts. This is Kartel’s second murder charge this month. Just weeks ago, he was charged with murder, illegal possession of a firearm, and conspiracy to murder. Those charges are the result of allegations that on July 11, Kartel and other men conspired to murder Barrington “Bossie” Burton, who was killed when standing with friends in Gregory Park. Watch a news report below, announcing the charges stemming from the Burton death:

This weekend, 50 Cent released a statement discussing poverty, corruption and more, explaining that he plans to make a difference. “People don’t seem to care anymore,” he shares in the statement. “People seem to have distanced themselves from other peoples’ problems. They have been programmed not to care.” 50 then explains why he feels this way and pledges to make a difference.

In the statement, 50 Cent turns to politicians and explains the needs that are not being met. “Politicians are corrupt,” he adds. “So many companies are corrupt and taking excessive profits in certain sectors.” He follows this up by saying people allow this to continue, despite the statistics he shares. “There are 1 billion plus people living in extreme poverty,” he notes. “You have no chance of hustling your way out of it.”

Knowing his own history, he admits that he has also not been as proactive in the past. “I have woken up,” he acknowledges. “I’m not turning a blind eye anymore! I’m not playing the game anymore.”

50 Cent has also promised to feed one billion kids this year. For more from 50 Cent’s PSA, read the message below as it was published on ThisIs50.com.

“The world is so f***** up
People don’t seem to care anymore

People seem to have distanced themselves from other people’s problems, they have been programmed not to care!
Politicians are corrupt…So many companies are corrupt and taking excessive profits in certain sectors…….and we keep allowing this s*** to happen
There are 1 billion plus people living in extreme poverty. You know what that is? You don’t know if your getting your next meal, no shelter, no medical. You have no chance of hustling your way out of it!
We have been programmed to not give a s*** about these people!

Well I have woken up and Im not turning a blind eye anymore!

Im not playing the game anymore. Our Company CEO’s and politicians want us to keep our heads down and not ask questions. Not demand the truth
they don’t want us to care, they have trained us to turn a blind eye!
Because they control us and profit from us this way!
to push back at them questions and threatens their lifestyles.

Children are dying everyday from hunger. Its f***** up, its wrong and I am angry
Im not going to shut up or give up – f*** the system, its wrong.
wake up we are being used!

Innocent children are dying each day…. we need to shout out to companies, politicians that we aren’t playing their games anymore
We are waking up to their lies and deceitful dealings

Im angry, Im going to make a difference and no one is going to stop me
Join me if your tired of being used and manipulated
Make this world fair for everyone”

Now, in a recent interview with 107.5 WGCI’s Tony Sculfield and The Morning Riot, Lupe resonds to the claims that the G-Unit general went at him on the record. Lupe says that he isn’t mad that 50 mentioned his hit song’s title in the song and that he doesn’t feel the lines were a diss at all. Still, Lupe assured listeners that if push were to come shove, he wouldn’t turn the other cheek.

“That’s fine, 50 [Cent]’s a good guy,” he said. “I got the chance to perform with his and tour with him a bit. I don’t really look at it as a diss. I’ve got fans in high places, I guess…[responding] is always in the chamber. I’ve always keep that in the chamber, they know what’s up.”

50 also took to Twitter, deading the rumors of the lines being an attack on Lupe.

Pusha T spit over a Drake beat: “Rappers on their sophomores, actin’ like they boss lords/ Fame such a funny thing for sure, when niggas start believing all them encores/ I’m just the one to send you off, bonjour.”

Drake told Flex that others pointed out the song to him, but he wasn’t sure if the shots were actually aimed at him. “I listened to it and I just couldn’t pick it out. I couldn’t pick out where I was supposed to be offended,” he said. “Everyone was just like, ‘Oh you got dissed in this song by Pusha T.’ First of all, I’ve never really had any interaction with Pusha T so for him to diss me would be purely issues that he’s having within himself.”

He said he’d never had beef with Pusha in the past and actually has admiration for him. “We’ve met but we’ve been just always cordial with each other. I’m a fan of The Clipse. I say it in interviews. So I’ve never really had any issues with him. But it’s a frustrating time for a lot of people right now, I get it. So if it was directed at me, just make it a little more direct next time. I’m up for whatever man. I didn’t take offense to it though.”

Drake is currently gearing up for the release of his sophomore album Take Care, scheduled for release on November 15.

Tyler, The Creator is getting his stripes outside of music—now that XXL has enlisted him to be their latest reporter.

The Odd Future head is featured in the latest issue of the Hip-Hop mag interviewing Nas who covers their November issue.

In it Young Escobar issues advice to the 20-year-old on longevity in the rap game.

“You, Em, Jay, Snoop, like, you guys all started when you was exactly my age,” Tyler said. “The fact that you guys are still here makes me just always think, like, F*ck, could I?”

“Oh, you definitely can,” Nas replied. “Someone like you is, you’re interesting, for a lot of reasons. So someone like you, you can’t wait to see what’s next.”

The young Creator also made sure to ask Nas if he was truly happy to which Nas responded,

“Dawg, I was naming my album Life Is Good because of how happy I am about how happy things have turned out. Sometimes I may wake up and wish my kids were living with me. That’s the only thing, you know what I mean? Our loved ones that are not around no more, like my mom. That’s the only thing. But other than that, everything is great, even when I’m alone. Even when there’s no one around.”

XXL’s November issue also features Mary J Blige who was asked questions by 20 different MCs including Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Wiz Khalifa and DMX.
